Profile

It is our goal to reduce the costs for the production of solar cells by the use of innovative mass production methods. The deficit of the currently broadly used solar cells on the basis of Silicon (Si) lies in the need of large amounts of pure Si. Not at last therefore we have taken to CIS and similar materials. CIS stands for Copper (Cu), Indium (In) and Selenium (Se). In order to optimise the efficiency of CIS solar cells it is possible to replace In partly by Gallium (Ga) and Se partly by Sulphur (S). The abbreviation changes then to CIGS or CIGSSe.
