With the pilot plant centre for polymer synthesis and polymer processing at Schkopau ValuePark, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft intends to make a contribution to research and development capacities in the chemicals industry in central Germany and to the development of efficient structures. In this context, the networking of existing research units with industrial companies is an important objective, and it is being undertaken together with Polykum e.V., a non-profit organisation promoting polymer development and plastics technology in central Germany.

 

The aim is to turn discoveries from pure and applied research more quickly into new products and processes. By bringing modern polymer synthesis and processing technology together under one roof, the pilot plant centre is able to offer our clients solutions for complex problems at every stage of value-creation from polymers.
