About Nano-Map
Nano-map is an interactive competency map of nanotechnology in Germany. Relevant institutions of nanotechnology, including major enterprises, SMEs, networks, research centers, university institutes, funding agencies, associations and governmental organizations as well as media and museums, can be displayed in descriptive maps on national and state level. Detailed search filters allow a specific search for selective technology and application fields of nanotechnology.
Search Filters
Nano-Map comprises three main filter categories:
- Kind of Institution
- Application fields
- Technologies
These main categories are divided into further subcategories. Main categories are linked with a logical “and”-connection and an intersection of the selected filters is displayed. Within a main category, subfilters are linked with a logical “or”-connection and for a combination set of selected subfilters.
Map exerpts of state level can be generated by clicking on the map or by choosing the relevant item from the pulldown-menu. Search filters can be activated or deactivated by marking the tick boxes, whereas the respective map is generated automatically. To delete all selected search filters use the button “clear search filters”.
Statistics
The pie chart on the right column displays the number of institutions for the chosen region and filter selection.
